NetResults Tracker Personal Live Trial Information

Your Personal Live Trial is set up with NetResults Tracker Enterprise Edition.  You may wish to review NetResults Tracker's features and benefits.

Things to Note while using the Personal Live Trial

The following features have been disabled or modified within the Personal Live Trial of NetResults Tracker:

  • Your Personal Live Trial workgroup will be accessible for 30 days.
  • Standard users have been configured in this workgroup for you (including any users you selected when you submitted the personal live trial request form). New users cannot be added to this workgroup because this operation is handled in the User Management System (which is administered by NetResults for all personal live trial workgroups). If you wish to add more users to your trial, please contact Technical Support. You cannot change the user passwords.  The password for each user is the same as the User ID. The user "nrsupport" is a built-in user for NetResults Technical Support. Please do not remove this user, otherwise, you will not be able to receive support for this workgroup.
  • The email address you provided in the request form has been entered for the user "Admin". Email notification rules can be configured by setting the Email Notification Preferences. However, you cannot change the email server configuration.
  • Source Code Control Integration is not available.
  • The Workgroup Management System (WMS) and User Management System (UMS) are not accessible as this workgroup is administered by NetResults Technical Support.

Personal Live Trial Policies

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following policies related to this Personal Live Trial:

  • Confidential Information: The personal live trial workgroup has been configured for evaluation purposes only. To provide easy access from as many locations as possible in the shortest possible time, we have not set up a secure communications channel (e.g. Virtual Private Network (VPN)) for accessing your workgroup. Additionally, NetResults Technical Support personnel may log in to your workgroup without prior notice in order to better understand your workgroup configuration when reviewing any questions you have or to perform administrative operations on your behalf. As the communications channel we provide is not secure and NetResults personnel may be viewing your data, please do not enter any confidential information in your workgroup. NetResults does not guarantee the confidentiality of any information contained in your live trial workgroup.
  • Live Trial Data Transfer: If you plan to purchase NetResults Tracker and wish to receive a copy of the data you generated during the trial, please send an email to NetResults Technical Support before your trial has ended. In that email, please request that a copy of your data be preserved for transfer to your NetResults Tracker installation. After your purchase of NetResults Tracker licenses is processed, a copy of your data along with instructions on how to transfer it will be provided. Data will not be provided in advance of your purchase.
  • Support: Standard email support is provided with this personal live trial.  Standard email support is provided Monday through Friday 5AM - 5PM Pacific Standard Time (GMT -0800), excluding holidays. Additionally, web-based support (Frequently Asked Questions and Knowledge Base) is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Using the Personal Live Trial

Some things to note while trying out the system:

  1. After logging in, you are presented with a "home" page that summarizes the records either submitted by the user, those assigned to the user or records that otherwise important to the user (e.g. manager overseeing work for a group, records assigned to a group, etc.).

  2. The recommended way to advance the state of a record is to use the Task icon. This allows each person assigned to a record to enter the correct information after completing their assigned task without any specific knowledge of the workflow as a whole. Used in combination with the Home page, a user need only log into the system to quickly see what records are assigned to them and also mark each as complete.

  3. The workflow is set up so that when one individual marks a task complete, it is automatically assigned to a manager, who then assigns it to an individual for actual handling. In this scheme the manager need only log in to see what records he/she must assign to individuals for processing.

  4. NetResults Tracker allows limiting access to records by user group. For example, in this trial the external users are only allowed to see those records that their company has submitted.

  5. NetResults Tracker allows limiting access to function by user group. For example, the Manager users are allowed to edit the fields in a record, but other users cannot.

  6. Each user can define their own saved queries and report layouts. They can also use the saved queries defined for any user group of which they are a member.
